Product Add-on LiteSpeed WebServer Installation and Removal - 'Easy' or 'Not so easy'in peoples experiance
I'm looking to buy a product licence for LiteSpeed server on WHM. I'm interested in seeing the difference this webserver will make to the speed of my sites.
After installation, depending on how much 'better' the sites run I may or may not choose to keep the product licence of the LiteSpeed.
My question is how straight forward and robust is the process of installing and quite possibly de-installing (or at the least deactivating LiteSpeed after a licence lapse) and then potentially reverting back to apache? Is this mostly handled via the WHM interface, like nice GUI interface to stop apache, start Litespeed. Or is there commands to run via the terminal for this product for installation and deinstalltion?
And if I need to go the other way is it straight forward to stop using litespeed, start using apache. Wondered if anybody had any experience with this.
I don't want to comprise the server by using this webserver type for a short period of time then stop using it and have stability issues or issues reverting back to the standard apache webserver.

Oh thanks, had no idea about the plugin to manage this. Is that plugin the sort of defacto cPanel approved standard (sort of thing) way of managing litespeed through the WHM web interface. Very cool that they do a trial too, didn't know that either. I might look to spin up a VM on AWS and give that a try under trial determine if it's worth going for on the production server. 0 -
When you install LSWS it should just install the WHM plugin. 0 -
