cPanel Jupiter with Old Icons - Easy
I still don't understand why it takes so long to generate a "Jupiter" with the Papaer latern style icons.
Lots of customers were complaining about the ugly Jupiter, so I had to start looking for solutions, and a few minutes ago I found this:
Checking my server I found that the old icons (svg format) are in this path:
/usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/paper_lantern/styled/glass/icons
Well, I have copied (and overwritten) them in the Jupiter path:
/usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/jupiter/assets/application_icons
Then run this command:
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/sprite_generator
and the result is not perfect, but I like it ;)

And upcp does not wipe out that change the next time it runs? 0 -

It is possible, but in that case you could leave the necessary commands in the script /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/postupcp0 -
OK, but I also think your going to run into a problem as soon as cpanel completely removes Paper lantern and then your source for the copy will be gone. 0 -

Yes, but it is very easy to copy them to another folder. I didn't want to give more ideas or details, because the last time they closed the post for "suggesting to modify the cpanel code" ;)0 -
and I'm just trying to point out potential pitfalls that the casual reader of this may run into. 0 -
with the removal of paperlantern the icons have gone too  0 -
...as has all my hopes and dreams these days. The hallmark of the modern age. Higher price, less features, crappier quality. But, of course the marketing says it's infinitely better for us. 0
