Why do you think you'd need to reinstall cPanel?

Well, I've received some shady info on how to apply the license, I'm quoting below: As requested, we have created a cPanel license for your server. If you have not yet installed the cPanel software, then you can reinstall your server with cPanel anytime you want using the "Manage" button in the menu item "Your services" After choosing "Reinstall" from the drop-down menu, you have to select an operating system being compatible with cPanel and cPanel as administration panel. Then you have to enter a new server password, please retain the new password. Please keep in mind that during a reinstallation all data will be deleted. We, therefore, strongly recommend to back up all required data before you initiate the installation process. I've run: /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt via SSH but nothing changed So, how do resolve this?

As it says " If you have not yet installed the cPanel software,...", but you have. Check your license here:

License checked. Active (cPanel Pro Cloud), guess I'll wait for host to respond if there is nothing else I can do.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but adding additional accounts / updating license is in general harmless to the server data and never requires a reinstall or some weird brain surgery?

Whenever you make a change to a license, the only thing you should need to do is run this command to update the license data on the server: /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt
If that command gives errors or doesn't take effect, please reach out to our support team or Customer Service team so we can help.
