Can you share more details? Did you actually migrate (and if so from what config server to what config server). It's nice to hear that you got benefits, but without knowing what you did, it's not as useful to others ;-)

Sure. I did a full backup of the system, of course that is necessary. Then I ran the script that first tests your system to see that it is compliant with the upgrade. There were a few things I had to upgrade like mysql version - the test script lists all of the requirements and I don't remember all of them but there were only a few and they were easy to upgrade. After the tweaks but before doing the full upgrade I then examined the server and viewed all websites and services to make sure things were working, which they were. I also had to remove some outdated programs I installed that conflicted and since they were not in use that was easy. Then you take a deep breath and run the actual upgrade which scrolls it's progress. The only odd thing with my setup was that the elevate script reboots several times. On my bare metal provider, however, it doesn't always recognize a request for full system reboot but it does tell you that the system has fallen offline, which I took as a signal that I would have to reboot the system via the bare metal provider. When it finishes it didn't really alert me to the fact I just saw that the elevate script stopped and I could ping the system and ssh into it. I rebooted again and logged into WHM and voila, it was running. It did flush out my host access control list for ssh, which I had to rebuild but that was easy. I hope that helps. Most notable was the extreme increase in response time for loading website. A HUGE improvement.

Thanks for the details. From the title (migration) is was not clear to me if you used Elevate to upgrade or if you migrated to a new server. Perfectly clear now.
