I need advice regarding multiple backup options please
Hello,
I posted my first thread earlier today and it's gone missing and im not sure why. I'm writing out a new thread below in the hopes someone can help me.
Right now my WHM servers backup each account in full and transport the backups to Google Drive. This has worked great but now Google has discontinued its unlimited storage plans so I need to make changes.
Is there any way that WHM could be edited or addons installed that would allow a backup system that looks like:
1. Full backup of each account, 1 per week transferred to Google Drive
2. An additional daily backup of JUST the databases, transferred to Dropbox
I did do a forum search and didn't find a ready answer so im hoping someone here can offer me their advice. Thank you.

Hey Andrew :) Look at JetBackup. It offers several options for off-site backups. Unfortunately cPanel's backup system doesn't support different backup schedules for off-site and on-site backups sadly :( 0 -
Hi Andrew, Thanks for the reply. I did check Jetbackup already but it's useless, it doesn't currently allow backups to Google Drive or Dropbox. 0 -
Hi Andrew, I've installed Jetbackup and again, Google Drive is not showing up as a destination. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. 0 -
According to a thread on Google: "Question You may have recently upgraded from Jetbackup 4 to Jetbackup 5 and notice that some of the previously available backup destinations are no longer available or have changed. Answer As of version 5 of JetApps has removed the following destinations. Google Drive FTP (FTP over SSH is supported) Dropbox For more information, please refer to the following documentation." Does JetBackup DEFO have Google Drive? I'm struggling here and hoping you are able to help. Happy to pay for your time and expertise if you want to login and setup for me. 0 -
It's due to some changes Google introduced back in February. Indeed you guys are correct though this is available under their Alpha (experimental) tier which as they say will go stable later this year. 0
