Emails sent through phpmailer

Just wanted to know that if i have a main server's IP that is the shared IP for cpanel accounts and then we have another IP set in /etc/mailips for email sending, will the emails from phpmailer be sent through cpanel shared IP or the one specified in /etc/mailips?
