Would a change of server IP break email sending - aka DMARC, DKIM, SPF and/or Reverse DNS (PTR)?
Quite simply, if my server IP changes (in my case, I am referring to when I take the same physical service to a new location which has a new IP, and not transferring the server to another host), could there be any issues with the deliberability of emails with DMARC, DKIM, SPF, and Reverse DNS (PTR)? What would I need to change, if anything, beyond where the domain points to, to get these three features working with a new IP?
Looking at the email deliverability page of WHM, it appears I would need to change the value of the SPF record. The name of the Reverse DNS (PTR) record also has the server IP in, but I cannot change it, so I assume the IP was fetched automatically from elsewhere in the system.
Thanks!
