PHP-FPM and temp folders
On one of my Cpanel servers, we have Softaculous installed. I often noticed errors when installing scripts using this. It seems that php-fpm doesn't recognise the default temp folder location and you need to specify this explicitly in the php.ini file for each version of PHP that is enabled on the server. I edited the php.ini files and restarted php-fpm through WHM. It then worked perfectly. The problem is every few days, the error returns. All I need to do is restart php-fpm. I could simply set up a cron to restart this every 2nd day but this feels like a bandaid rather than a fix. Is there a correct solution for dealing with this within WHM?

Ahhh thank you. That is indeed the issue and I have already managed to do the steps as suggested in that thread (wish I had found that thread earlier. It took me a while to get to that stage). My issue is slightly different in that the error re-appears every few days and the solution is to once again re-start php-FPM. The php.ini files remain as I had set them and I don't need to edit them... Just restart and the issue is resolved (temporarily). 0 -
Interesting - if you could submit a ticket we'd like to see that in action as maybe there is another underlying issue there. 0 -
