Yum update kernel Cloudlinux 8
Hello.
I've just run yum update kernel on our CloudLinux 8 box.
This is the first time I've run this command since the server was provided.
Before I reboot and risk having a stroke because it won't boot does this look correct to those in the know?
Installing:
kernel x86_64 1:4.18.0-477.27.2.lve.el8 cloudlinux-rollout-1 9.4 M
kernel-core x86_64 1:4.18.0-477.27.2.lve.el8 cloudlinux-rollout-1 42 M
kernel-modules x86_64 1:4.18.0-477.27.2.lve.el8 cloudlinux-rollout-1 34 M
Removing:
kernel x86_64 4.18.0-240.el8 @anaconda
kernel-core x86_64 4.18.0-240.el8 @anaconda 62 M
kernel-modules x86_64 4.18.0-240.el8 @anaconda 21 M
grubby --default-kernel
/boot/vmlinuz-4.18.0-477.27.2.lve.el8.x86_64
yum list kernel

I would query this on the CL website forum but for the life of me it's taking forever to load anything.
Thanks in advance!

Hey hey! That all looks fine to me - Yum is pretty solid about not installing things if there are conflicts, so I would expect it to go well. 0 -
@cPRex thank you! A little slow to reboot but all went well as far as I can tell you. Thanks for the reassurance. Cheers. 0 -
