Terminating account process frozen
I went to terminate (delete) an account/domain from WHM/Account List but it's stuck saying starting removal of the account... and the swirl thing is just spinning. I've never had this process get stuck before. This is the screen it's stuck at...... Any suggestions? I don't want to touch it until I learn more about what to do.....

Hey hey! That's fun - do you see anything in the usual places, like /usr/local/cpanel/log/error_log? If not, do you see any output with "ps aux | grep removeacct" If you do, I'd try stracing the process with "strace -p ####" where "####" is the PID of the removeacct process. That would show you if it is still doing anything. If not, it's likely safe to kill it. 0 -
I clicked on a tool on the left side of the WHM which cleared the screen I was on and when I went back to the list of accounts the account was gone. So, I'm assuming the termination process completed, but the screen just hung up for some reason. I will have to have one of my Linux engineers dig deeper to see if the process actually completed or not (as I'm not familiar with Linux outside of the GUI interface). Unless there are some logs I can check from the WHM? 0 -
No, there wouldn't be any logs to check through WHM. If the account doesn't show up in WHM >> List Accounts, that's a good sign. 0
