IP address changed on a fresh installation on EC2 and WHM is no longer accessible
I have a fresh installation of an EC2 instance on AWS.
While messing with networking devices, I accidentally disassociated the original IP address under which cPanel was installed.
WIth the new IP address, I was also given a new hostname (the one that looks like ec2-255-255-255-2.us-east-1.compute.amazonaws.com)
however, adding :2087 to both the IP address, and the above hostname, just goes into a long "waiting" loop until it says unavailable.
SSH Connection using the original AWS provided key file works like a charm still on the new IP, and I can have full shell access. So it's not really an networking/access issue. Only the WHM is down.
So far I've tried:
Restarting the WHM/cPanel service:
# /scripts/restartsrv_cpsrvd
Check the /etc/hosts file to ensure the right new hostname is in there
Completely frozen out of WHM... any ideas?
