Autoresponder Loops - Is this really hard to fix?

Wouldn't it be possible for the autoresponder to add a header... e.g. X-Autoresponder: Yes and that way it's trivial to check incoming messages to a mailbox and prevent autoresponders having their own private party. Couldn't cPanel implement something like this? Pretty please?
