Hi Imran, Can you please confirm me are you looking to create mirrors of your server which will work instead of your mail DNS only servers when-ever needed ? Or just thinking to take the backups of it so that you will be able to restore them in the disastrous situation ?

Hello :) I recommend searching our forums for "mirroring" and "high availability" for custom solutions that other users may have implemented. There are lots of discussions about the best ways to do this. EX: Load Balancing Between 2 cPanel Servers Load Balancing Load Balancing Servers cPanel Load Balanced Servers Also, feel free to add your input to the following active feature requests: Active Redundancy or High Availability Build in Load Balancing Thank you.

Hello Michael, When my DNSONLY server is totally crashed then how to build the same server? How to restore it from backup? Also which files and folders backup need to backup. Thanks, Imran Khan.

You would simply provision a new server, install cPanel DNS-Only, and synchronize the zones from the hosting servers to it. Thank you.

Hello Michael, Is there any other way instead of synchronize. e.g. zone files and dns configuration files backup and restoration. Thanks, Imran Khan.

You could manually copy over the zone files from the /var/named directory and then rebuild the /etc/named.conf file via: /scripts/rebuilddnsconfig
    Thank you.

Hello Michael, Thanks. Is there any way to handle zone files from the DNSONLY control panel like a cpanel. Thanks, Imran Khan.

No, there is no feature for you to edit/add/delete DNS Zones from within Web Host Manager on cPanel DNS-Only installations. You should make these changes on the hosting servers. Thank you.
