Hello :) Yes, the default entry for "webmail" when proxy subdomains are enabled is: webmail 14400 IN A 1.1.1.1
You can delete the existing "A" record for "mail", and create a subdomain for it in cPanel to load the content you desire. Thank you.

Where 1.1.1.1 is, is that my IP that goes there? I want my domain.com to show when someone goes to mail.mydomain.com.

Yes, that is where your IP address appears. Note that the "webmail" entry is separate from the "mail" entry. If you want visitors to open specific content for the "mail" subdomain, ensure you add it as a subdomain or Addon domain name to the cPanel interface after removing it's entry in the DNS Zone. Thank you.

well mail.domain.com is the mail server. So how do I keep that as the mail server, but not a viewable website?

    It's because mail.domain.com is a CNAME record: mail 14400 IN CNAME domain.com.
if you change it to: mail 14400 IN A 1.1.1.1
    that should work.
