Password protect dir failed after moving server

Hello : some user set pass on their directory, but after server movement some user pass not working . we check all setting and folder permission but can'n success to find this issue . any idea ? Thanks

  What happens when you delete old user, set a new user and password for the htaccess via cPanel?

  New user created, but not work too !

  You might try renaming the hidden, .htaccess file in the public_html of your account to effectively kill it. For example naming it htaccess.txt And then, re-add the password protection once again via cPanel to make sure it takes.
