Hosting Server
First of all, hello to everybody I'm new to the forum and this is my first post so please bare with me if I make any mistakes or ask any stupid questions.
Having say that, I'm familiar with cpanel and all that from the end user point of view, meaning I have only use cpanel from when I bought web hosting from one of the many companies.
I have recently signup for an unmanaged vps cloud hosting through digital ocean. I'm a web developer and I'm pretty technical so I was able to installed Lamp stack and Cpanel trial.
My question is once I installed Lamp stack and Cpanel, am I good to go? Do i need to install anything for my emails to work properly or anything else. I currently have a share hosting but I would like to move all my sites (7 of them) to my new vps and make sure everythign is going to work properly.
Thanx in advance

When you install cPanel you get Exim. I'd recommend you live with that.0 -
Thanks. different between the postfix and Exim rule how ? How can we better understand the two definitions. Thanks. 0 -
Hello :) It's important to keep in mind that Apache and MySQL are installed by default with cPanel. You should not install a LAMP stack before installing cPanel because it's not necessary. Exim and Postfix are both mail transfer agents. Reviewing their respective websites would allow you review the technical specifications of each. You should not notice a difference in the front end when sending or receiving emails. Thank you. 0
