Sites and server performance affected with cPanel latest version updates by hosting provider.....
Hi,
My existing hosting account (vps) has cPanel/WHM with NGINX/Apache Booster installed/setup which has been working fine ......until the recent update of cPanel to its latest version.
1. It started to get 413 errors for uploading a plugin via the wordpress wp-admin/plugins/addon/upload which had no such issue before.
2. inconsistent during backup of database from within phpmyadmin as well as cPanel's Backup function.
3. constantly a popup warning of a cPanel script running endlessly and had to click "stop the script" before it returns to normal.
And other issues
I am keen to know the following:
a. - prior to each upgrade or upate to the latest version of cPanel, does it requires the hosting providers to also update certain existing script/modules/softwares on the server so that it works compatibly with the latest version of cPanel?? If so, is it standard procedure for cPanel to notify the hosting providers?
b. - Does it also requires the upgrading of phpmyadmin at the same time if it's not included in the cPanel Update?
and if cPanel have made know this requirement to the hosting providers?
c. - what are your comment on the above issues I have indicated and what possible solutions can you suggest/recommend?
Thank you.

Re: Sites and server performance affected with cPanel latest version updates by hosting provider.... Hello :) It's better to open a separate thread for each issue that you want addressed. If you do not have root access to the machine, it's recommended that you consult with your hosting provider for assistance in troubleshooting those types of problems. Here are answers to the questions about the cPanel update process itself: [QUOTE]a. - prior to each upgrade or upate to the latest version of cPanel, does it requires the hosting providers to also update certain existing script/modules/softwares on the server so that it works compatibly with the latest version of cPanel?? No, cPanel updates do not require changes or upgrades to other software installed on the system. [QUOTE]b. - Does it also requires the upgrading of phpmyadmin at the same time if it's not included in the cPanel Update? and if cPanel have made know this requirement to the hosting providers?
No, cPanel controls the version of phpMyAdmin installed, and it will update it to a newer version during the cPanel update at times. The inclusion of a new version of phpMyAdmin is listed in the cPanel change log. Thank you.0
