Hello :) [quote="GmanGrappler, post: 1471851">I first went to WHM and created an account such as: jane-doe.edu.mywebsitename.net. The account creation was successful but no sub-domain folder appears in my directory? If I then go into cPanel to manually create that subdomain for jane-doe.edu.mywebsitename.net I get an error and it will not create it.
Could you elaborate on which directory you are expecting the subdomain name to appear in? If creating a separate cPanel account, you can not also add that same subdomain under an existing cPanel account. [quote="GmanGrappler, post: 1471851">So, alternately I then started firstly in cPanel and created the subdomain jane-doe.edu.mywebsitename.net and then subsequently went into WHM. In WHM when I try to create an account for jane-doe it gives me an error and will not create it?
You would run into the same issue here. Rather than attempting to create a subdomain under the existing cPanel account, and as a new account, you should only choose one or the other. Thank you.

Sorry I wasn't more clear. I wish to create a subdomain called "edu". Inside of that subdomain I wish to create a subdomain for each user and I want each user to have their own cpanel. What is the procedure to do that? Do I go to WHM and create the EDU subdomain and then after that go to WHM and create each user subdomain inside of the edu domain? Thanks for all of your help!

You must have access to Web Host Manager to create a separate account for each subdomain. Thank you.
