strange cpsrvd-ssl & mysql load
hi i would appreciate your help with this one...
opening up my server this morning i had memory increase and load from cpsrvd-ssl followed by mysql load.
i am using ssl only for my main WHM control panel. but i noticed in my newrelic monitoring that many accounts in the last 12hours hit ssl connections. is this an attack via ssl ports on my clients cpanels? i also checked for a ddos attack with some commands but there is none. the tcp connections are normal.
my VPS has 4cpus core-i7 & 4gb of ram.

Hello :) The information you provided does not indicate any specific attack on the SSL service. Are you positive it's not legitimate traffic? The following thread may be helpful to you: Troubleshooting high load on Linux servers Thank you. 0 -
you are right, now it seems ok. the load has gone back to normal. also i did some tuning on my /etc/my.cnf and the vps is responding much faster!!! every day i am learning something new. the link you provided also gives out good advice. 0
