CentOS 6 + CloudLinux + cPanel -> Typical Backup for new Installation
Hello,
I realize that we are greatly loosing time when deploying new servers.
As far as you can copy and restore most of the files in linux, i was wondering if it is possible to make a selective image of a current configuration with all plugins (csf), cpanel configuration, cloudlinux and so on to deploy on new servers.
It would have to exclude some of the parameters such as the networking one, nameservers, hostname and any value that has to be unique to a server.
Is there any guide to know what to copy and not copy ? Or even any pre made script to do so.
The purpose is to store a clean image of a brand new server configured to deploy on newer servers later on.
The time spent to deploy servers is seriously huge.
Thank you in advance for the time taken to answer my question.

Hello :) Are you using a specific virtualization software, or are you deploying dedicated servers? Thank you. 0
