Upgrade mysql 5.0 to mysql 5.1

Hello, We have a server with php 5.2 and mysql 5.0. We need to upgrade mysql to 5.1. It is possible without user's data risk ? Thank you.-

  There is always a risk with any upgrade and so you should dump your databases beforehand, however this is normally a very straightforward upgrade. I'd recommend actually upgrading to 5.5 afterwards whilst you're at it as 5.1 is end of life this year.
