How to add an IPV6 hostname in CPanel?
I've recently enabled IPV6 for my server, and Exim is sending mail successfully over IPV6. google's complaining though about the forward and reverse DNS records of the IP I'm using. I've sorted out the reverse aspect of it with the datacenter that hosts me, but I have absolutely no idea how to create a AAA record in CPanel. Is it something I have to do manually, or am I missing something entirely? Would it be better to just tell Exim to ignore IPV6 for the time being? Any pointers would be appreciated.

You should be able to create the quad-A record using the Zone Editor in WHM. 0 -
The IP I want to use though isn't bound to the machine already. According to CPanel docs, there's no way to bind an IP to the machine until an account needs it for web content. Am I misreading the docs, or is there no way to do that like you can with the usual "add an IP address" function for IPV4? For the record, the IP I want is in my asigned range and CPanel is aware of that range. It just doesn't look like it gives me an option of binding an IP for anything other than web content. 0
