Migrating entire Dedicated server to a new Dedicated server
Hello,
Due to some hardware issues, we are moving one dedicated server's all the websites to another newly deployed server. The source (original) server has cloudlinux installed and enabled while the remote (new) server has only cpanel (we are planning to install cloudlinux in a few minutes).
My confusion is,
1.should i install cloudlinux on the 2nd server and simply move the website using WHM's transfer option
2. uninstall cloudlinux from 1st server, move the websites to 2nd server and then install cloudlinux on 2nd server?
Hope I was able to explain my confusion.
Thanks.

Hello :) You do not have to uninstall Cloud Linux on the source server before migrating the accounts. You can setup the new server, install Cloud Linux on it, and transfer the accounts using Web Host Manager. Thank you. 0 -
Hi I have the same exact situation but much more important is the CloudLinux, PHP selector and options and CageFS settings. Is there any way to transfer them out? Thanks in advance Regards 0 -
You will need to ensure Cloud Linux is installed and configured on the destination server. You may find more information directly related to where Cloud Linux settings are stored (in order to manually copy that data) on the Cloud Linux support forums or their documentation. Thank you. 0
