Simple way to stop spamassassin?

Is there no longer a simple way to stop spamd temporarily, for instance when a server is loading down and you just want to temporarily stop a few non-essential services until the server "settles down?" Spamassassin used to be included as a service, and we could simply use the command: service spamassassin stop, but that is no longer an option.

  Hello :) You can temporarily stop SpamAssassin with the following command: /scripts/restartsrv_spamd --stop
