New backup does not retain
I've enabled the new backup after using the Legacy backup for a while.
I've set it up so it should retain the backups locally as well as send them through FTP.
I should retain three daily backups.
Its sending the backup through FTP but no old backups are retained so there's always only one backup.
Also it does not save the backups local while I've set to do it.
Tried changing the local directory but that made no difference.
I could look in the log but have no idea what to look for.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
Thanks!

Hello :) Please check the backup logs in: /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup
Look for error messages, or any output that looks like it may be an error. Thank you.0 -
There are no errors in the log. The backup seems to ignore the directory I set in Cpanel for the backups. I've set it to /backup-new/ Some snippets: ------------------ [cpbackup] Setting I/O priority to reduce system load: best-effort: prio 3 [cpbackup] backup point /home/cpbackuptmp/cpbackup/daily is 1.11 days old [cpbackup] backup point /home/cpbackuptmp/cpbackup/weekly is 1.11 days old [cpbackup] backup point /home/cpbackuptmp/cpbackup/monthly is 50.84 days old [cpbackup] Starting full MySQL database backups /bin/gtar: Removing leading `/' from member names /bin/gtar: /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock: socket ignored /bin/gtar: /var/lib/mysql/eximstats/smtp.MYD: file changed as we read it [cpbackup] Failed to perform full MySQL database backup [cpbackup] The following backups will be updated: daily, monthly [cpbackup] Running account backup with target : /home/cpbackuptmp/cpbackup/daily pkgacct started. ------------------- The directory /home/cpbackuptmp/cpbackup/daily is empty apart from: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 25 Oct 29 07:20 cpbackupstatus.cfg So local backups are not stored. Where are all the backup settings stored? Is there some configfile? It seems to ignore most settings I set in Cpanel. 0 -

To update, it looks like this may have been a temporary connection issue with the remote FTP server. Subsequent backup generations have completed successfully. Thank you. 0
