    Please help me understand what you are suggesting. Obviously sending the email to the FCC spam address should not be a problem but I think that you are suggesting that I do not send the email back to the originator with a message about spam. Why are you saying that might cause an IP problem when that is exactly what is done when I blacklist an email address. Thanks for your response

    Hello :) It's possible that a spammer will forge the "from" field in the header. Sending a response to all SPAM messages could result in you sending replies to email addresses that were not the original spammers. Thank you.

    In many cases the "from" or "reply to" address is the real target of the spam message.
