[quote="Dave61, post: 1496211">Hi All, First and foremost I'm in the online gaming industry, hence using Spammassign and or similar antispam products tend to cause a lot of false positives. Albeit I can fine tune things but with 30+ sites, that soon becomes a major drain on my time. Besides, it's akin to bailing a flooding boat with a teaspoon.
I disagree. [quote="Dave61, post: 1496211"> I have been using Boxtrapper but I'm now concerned about Backscatter.
You should be. Not sure I'd enable boxtrapper on an account that gets loads of email constantly. [quote="Dave61, post: 1496211"> Is there anything within WHM/Cpanel I can impilment, to work with Boxtrapper, to check if the senders email is a bona fide email address? In which case if it returns a "no", the spam will be deleted and not even enter the Boxtrapper routine. Any suggestions etc. etc. are appreicated, thanks. Cheers Dave
I'd suggest you enable it: SpamAssassin - cPanel Documentation Without knowing exactly what type of email you're getting, it sounds like you're getting email you shouldn't be getting to begin with. Default Address - cPanel Documentation [QUOTE]Select one of the following options: Discard with error to sender Sends an error message to the sender when an email is sent to this address. After you select this option, enter an error message that will be emailed to the sender.
Is DKIM set up on the account? Email Authentication - cPanel Documentation There are lots of tweaks worth visiting here as well: The Exim Basic Editor - cPanel Documentation Hopefully there's something helpful there for you. GL!
