[Case 82765] 11.40 upgrade modifies default feature list
Just a word of warning, we've noticed that following the upgrade to 11.40 the default feature list is modified and previously disabled options are then enabled. If you are disabling any features in this manner, please be aware that they will likely now be available to your customers and so you may want to check this.

Yes, we noticed that too. On our default feature list every box was now ticked (checked). 0 -
Were you upgrading from cPanel version 11.38? Do you notice the features are fully enabled in the cPanel of the accounts, or are the options only checked in the Feature Manager? It's important to open a bug report for these types of issues so we can attempt to reproduce the behavior and address it accordingly: Submit A Bug Report You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you. 0 -
I've opened a ticket for this (#4393545) which I had intended to do anyway, however thought it preferable to communicate this to people initially so they could take action if this had caused anything detrimental, as it had for us. It was an upgrade from 11.38 and the timestamp on the default feature list file corresponds to exactly the same time as the upgrade on every server we have upgraded to 11.40 0 -
An internal case is now open to address this issue. For reference, the case number is 82765. There is currently no time frame available for a resolution, but the change log can be monitored for the case number: cPanel - Change Log Thank you. 0
