cPanel shows constant massive VM usage

Hi, hope this is the right forum (website) for this. Recently my website has been using massive amounts of virtual memory - cpanel has it at over a 1.2gb. My webhost has increased it twice but I can still see the odd 'PHP Out of memory... error' in the browser and 500 internal errors and the VM is constantly 'in the red'. The error_log is littered with these errors for nearly every php file and something called [eAccelerator]. I've removed/deactivated and uninstalled most of the plugins (I removed all at one point) that were installed but the removal had no effect - no reduction in memory usage. nb: The same theme/framework (Headway) and plugins run great on my own personal site which is a very basic web hosting package.     Hi, thanks for replying Michael. No root access, it's on a shared hosting account. The VM is now maxed out constantlly at 1.5gb. The site loads only occasionally now.

    the error_log has nearly a thousand errors in it - Sample below. I do notice the different timezone listed [America/New_York] with [eAccelerator].     You will need to contact your hosting provider and ask them to increase the memory available to your account. It's likely they have a third-party product such as Cloud Linux installed that is limited the memory available to your account. Thank you.

    Thanks, they've already increased it twice and each time the amount of RAM used has crept up to max - obviously not a situation that can go on forever. I was hoping to be able to track down the cause.

    You may want to consult with the support or developer of the script utilized on the website. There may be methods of reducing memory usage or disabling certain plugins it uses. Thank you.
