AppConfig Enforcement (11.40 suggestions dismissed, what were they?)
After upgrading to 11.40, WHM had three suggestions, all defaulting to Yes:
1. ??
2. AppConfig Enforcement
3. Send usage info to cPanel
I accepted #1, but deferred #2 and now I can't figure out where it it is in WHM. Searching WHM, Tweak and Google for "AppConfig Enforcement" turns up little, I guess this is new wording. The AppConfig settings in Tweak are:
[QUOTE]
1. Allow apps that have not registered with AppConfig to be run when logged in as a reseller to WHM.
2. Allow apps that have not registered with AppConfig to be run when logged in as root or a reseller with the "all" ACL in WHM.
3. This setting allows WHM applications and addons to execute even if an ACL list has not been defined.
4. This setting allows cPanel and Webmail applications and addons to execute even if a feature list has not been defined.
Those are all On, but I chose No for whatever "AppConfig Enforcement" is. Does it correspond to something in Tweak? How can I find it again? (And for completeness, what was #1?) Thanks.

WHM " Server Configuration " Tweak Settings, Security tab is where you'll find those settings. 0 -

This is really important by the way. Without it, you lose apache logs every time stats run. If you don't notice that a site got hacked until the next day, you're pretty much guessing how it happened without the domain access logs there to prove it.0 -

Right I found them, but I don't know how they correspond to the nag question I dismissed, for AppConfig Enforcement. That one was "yes" by default, and these are "on" by default. I said "no" to AppConfig Enforcement. So "yes" to AppConfig Enforcement corresponds to "off" for all 4 Tweak settings, and in the future that will be the default? :)0 -
Is this documented somewhere? I got nowhere Googling, or forum searching, for "AppConfig Enforcement". I still don't know what that default checkbox would have done. 0 -
This is the Feature Showcase screen after upgrading to 11.40: .vB "More Information" in AppConfig Enforcement points to: [url=http://etwiki.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/view/SoftwareDevelopmentKit/AppConfig]AppConfig 0 -
