Hello :) You should setup name servers at the registrar using IP addresses associated with your cPanel server and then assign them to the domain name so you do not have to manually enter each DNS record at the registrar. Both of these steps are handled at the registrar of the domain name. On the cPanel server, you simply need to add the "A" records for your name servers. Once you complete these steps, your DNS entries are setup automatically in the DNS Zone on the cPanel server. Thank you.

Thank you for the reply. I got the domain pointing to server ip. Basically setup through whm the new domain name cpanel account. Checked the box to use the domain registrars nameservers which it automatically detected. Then I went to the domain registrar and changed the A record to point to the new cpanel account ip address. So that part is working. You are saying that I can also do the reverse which is set up private nameservers in whm and assigning the A records for both (ip addresses available). Then going to the domain registrar and changing the nameservers from theirs to the servers. I am still confused about the cpanel mail account in both scenarios. So in scenario one I would probably have to setup the MX record at registrar correct? Then what ever cpanel email account I setup should send and receive email, provided email name matched mx record name? Scenario two I would not have to worry about MX record because registrar would be pointing to my nameservers anyways so whatever cpanel email account was created should work automatically? Is this correct. Anymore information would be great, Thanks.

Yes, both of these scenarios are accurate. Thank you.
