clamd errors since update to cpanel 11.40
Hello guys. Since I updated to cPanel 11.40 one of my servers is reporting this error.
It's noticeable that this server runs under "CENTOS 6.5 i686 virtuozzo " vps" with Apache 2.4 and PHP 5.4, and the other one without the issue is running under "CENTOS 6.5 x86_64 virtuozzo " vps" with Apache 2.2 and PHP 5.2.
This email is arriving once a day.
How can I fix this?

Do this: chown clamav:clamav /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/share/clamav Then you can re-run freshclam if you like to verify that it is working. It's trying to write temp files into that directory, and that directory is currently owned by root. cPanel is aware of this and it will likely be remedied in a future update. There are at least two other threads on here discussing this, with cPanel staff suggesting the above command to resolve the problem. So there should be no worries doing this. Mike 0 -
Good one. I did it and freshclam now appears to download everything without errors. Thank you very much pal. 0 -
Hello :) There is an internal case open to address this issue. It's discussed at: [Case 82549] clamav / freshclam cron errors after 11.40 upgrade Thank you. 0
