cPanel Backup Question
I have the new cPanel backup system do a daily backup to an external server by FTP. The retention I configured in WHM is 14 days. The backup script leaves a temporary folder (aptly named temp) that weighs about 1"10 GB per day and doesn't seem to ever remove anything in it even after 14 days. Needless to say this takes up a huge amount of space over time.
Is this normal? Is this a problem with my configuration or with cPanel/WHM? Is it safe to delete the temp folder content immediately after a backup finishes, or do I need to retain it for some reason?
Thanks in advance.

Hello, Do you have the option to "Keep local copies" enabled? 0 -
It is disabled (this also makes sense since if it was enabled I'd imagine it would take about 30-40 GB per day). 0 -
