500 Internal Server Error after apache update
Hello,
A few hours ago I rebuild Apache without changing anything at the default profile, to see if the mod_pagespeed I installed would update as it was supposed to.
At the end of the rebuild, when the pop-up window for php appeared, it showed me a message that php is not correctly installed, or something like that.
Since then, my whole site is down with 500 internal server error
I tried running again the Apache Update. No errors this time (on PHP or anywhere else), but my site still won't work.
Unfortunately I didn't think to write down the first php message error, and I haven't seen it since, to write it here.
I have contacted my webhosting support (hostgator) but the live chat couldn't help me and the support ticket takes too long to be processed.
Any help is appreciated. My site is down approx. 9 hours now, and you can understand my anxiety.
Tell me from which logs I should paste my information, to help with your answer.
Thanks
Angelos

Hello :) Please check the Apache error log (/usr/local/apache/logs/error_log) to see the output when your website generates the 500 error code. You can paste a snippet of that output here. Thank you. 0 -

Thanks for the answer. It proved to be a corrupt php.ini, now everthing is working. Have a Merry Christmas!0
