Backup not replacing older backups
Since some time, i think after the new version of backup (not legacy) introduce my backups aren't getting replaced automatically as it used to be before. I have 15 gb external backup space and each day backup size around 2 gb, so after every 6-7 days i need to manually delete the older backup. I have checked the the backup configuration and selected to retain 3 days backup only. I tried changing this to 1 day even and cpanel is still not deleting older backup. I even deleted whole config and started new config of backup but still same. I even switched to legacy backup, but still same.
Please help sort this problem, thanks in advance.

Hello :) Could you review the backup logs in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup to see if backups are completing successfully? Also, check the same logs to see if you notice any messages about the retention process failing. Thank you. 0 -
Thanks Michael, Backup is doing absolutely fine and transferring the compressed file to remote server also absolutely fine. Just checked today morning log and all looks good and in end it says this: [backup] pruning backup directory: /backup/2013-12-26 But i can still see the 26 dec backup retained as well, whereas i unchecked the retention totally in backup config (for testing). 0 -
