outgoing TCP traffic to cpanel?

In the logs of our (CSF) firewall I find rules like this: Jan 7 04:38:54 31.186.175.143 52573 out 208.74.121.62 443 TCP So our server at 31.186.175.143:52573 is trying to reach 208.74.121.62:443 A traceroute to 208.74.121.62 shows me that it's accessed via the cpanel.net domain What is the cause of this request?

  Hello :) 208.74.121.62 is the IP address for updatelogdrop.cpanel.net. cPanel collects anonymous usage data for information such as: Version of cPanel before cPanel update starts Version of cPanel after cPanel Update finishes Run time of cPanel Update Result code of cPanel Update (Success or Failure) Thank you.
