Hello :) Could you elaborate on what you mean by a private DNS server? For instance, is there a specific reason not to use the default name server already included with cPanel (BIND)? Thank you.

Hello, I mean like using private nameservers for each and every domain under cpanel like dom1.com nameservers ns1.dom1.com and ns2.dom1.com dom2.com nameservers ns1.dom2.com and ns2.dom2.com dom3.com nameservers ns1.dom3.com and ns2.dom3.com etc

You can create private name servers at the domain registrar using your server's IP address. Then, simply assign those private name servers to the domain name at the registrar. The only things to modify on the cPanel server is the DNS Zone itself so that it uses those same private name servers, and the "A" records for the NS records. Thank you.

Will each domain need a separate IP address or can a numbe of domains be registered with same IP address at the registrar end

You can use the same IP address for multiple name servers. Thank you.

Okay, Also can use different Ips for different domains at the registrar end say if there are spare IPs in the case of private dns.

Yes, just ensure the "A" records on the cPanel servers for these name servers match up to the IP addresses you use at the registrar when creating them. Thank you.
