Create and Restore a Full System Backup
Hello!
shortly i should reinstall my operating system and cpanel vps (cause rootkit)
Now I wonder, what is the most correct procedure to create and restore a backup of:
-Accounts
-Hostname
-Nameservers
-Package Configurations and Settings
also if there is a way to make a backup of the current configuration apache / php.
To be more clear i need an exactly copy of actual system. Backup will be restore on same machine (so same ips)
Thank you very much for your reply

Hello :) 1. You can backup your accounts using the backup feature available in Web Host Manager. 2. The hostname and name servers are configured during the initial setup of the server, so a backup is not required. 3. Your packages are stored in: /var/cpanel/packages You can backup this directory and restore it as needed. 4. The steps to save a custom EasyApache profile are available at: [url=http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/vief/EasyApache/EasyApacheSavingCustom]EasyApache: How To Save Custom Profiles Thank you. 0 -
