cPanel wont update. Loops back to the old version both from WHM & command line
Trying to upgrade cPanel from version WHM 11.38.0 (build 19) to current stable. I tried fired via WHM, everything showed as sucessful but when I logged out and back in or ran /usr/local/cpanel/cpanel -V it still shows the old WHM 11.38.0 (build 19).
So I tried /scripts/upcp --force and at the end it says:
[20140116.082243] Maintenance completed successfully
[20140116.082244] Running Standardized hooks
[20140116.082244]
[20140116.082244] cPanel update completed
[20140116.082244] A log of this update is available at /var/cpanel/updatelogs/update.1389859477.log
[20140116.082244] Removing upcp pidfile
[20140116.082244]
[20140116.082244] Completed all updates
But still not upgraded. I've attaced the log...

Hello, To upgrade from 11.38 to 11.40 release tier, mysql 5.1 or higher should be installed on the server. I guess you might be getting such warning in WHM. Please check it out. Thanks, 0 -
