Hello :) This is not a process that is related to cPanel. It's a package that is installed on your OS. You can find more information on this process at: [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Link_Layer_Discovery_Protocol]Link Layer Discovery Protocol Thank you. 0 -
That doesn't help too much. I've never heard of this, and have no idea what would cause it. Even after reading the link, I still have no idea what it is. It doesn't happen often, but it seriously reads like "blah blah blah" to me. 0 -
The following external URL may also be of help to you: [url=http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/23766156/dir/centos_5/com/lldpd-0.7.6-2.1.x86_64.rpm.html]RPM CentOS 5 lldpd 0.7.6 x86_64 rpm It provides a little more detail on it's actual interaction with your OS. I suggest consulting with your data center or hosting provider to determine if the package is necessary on your particular system. Thank you. 0 -
I have no idea why this was installed on my dedicated server. It came that way from the host. I've removed it. The server appears to still be fine. I compared it to my others, and none had this service. Not sure why nobody anywhere (WHT, host, cPanel, etc) ever mentioned this possibility. It doesn't happen often, but I felt light a deer in headlights. 0
