Apache 2.2 to Apache 2.4
Is it safe to upgrade to Apache 2.4 from Apache 2.2? We have multiple clients's website on this server.
What should I look into our each website's .htaccess configurations before upgrading to Apache 2.4 so that it will still work after the upgrade?
Is there any performance advantage especially on CPU usage?

Howdy, I've been running Apache 2.4 since it was added to EasyApache on my cPanel servers. It's a faster webserver but you have to keep in mind that not all of the (apache) modules are supported. PHP will behave the same but there are some module combinations you can not get away with in 2.4 that you could with 2.2. That in mind it's a great webserver if you can make it fit with your requirements. I don't need a very custom stack so I'm easy to please but I can see how others my not feel the same. Thanks! 0 -

Thanks Eric, We will upgrade to Apache 2.4 and hopefully this can decrease CPU load. Regards, Ray0
