Sites Loading Slowly
I started getting complaints on a server that I manage that sites were loading slow. The server the load is fairly low, normally around 1 or less. There was plenty of memory free etc. Everything from the command line was quite snappy.
I restarted httpd and web sites started popping up quickly again. However a few minutes later things started to slow to a crawl again. The number of httpd processes is at about 150+ which seems quite high so I am assuming I am getting hit by something but I am not sure what.
Does anyone have advice on trying to track down what is slowing the server down?
Thanks,
Eric

Few sites might be having too many accesses. In order to track the domain that are having most accessses, go to whm > Apache status to see the http requests that are served. 0 -
Hello :) While it's intended for high load averages, the information provided in the following thread could also be helpful in determining why Apache is running slowly: Troubleshooting High Load on Linux Servers Thank you. 0
