Wrong server name shown on new account emails?
- From: cPanel on correct.hostname [cpanel@server]
- Subject: New account on [COLOR="#800000">wrong.hostname (domain)
The server hostname is correct.
Everything I've ever seen shows the correct hostname ... but this.
Where is this coming from?
The was installed via a Xen template. Apparently, something is not being changed. But I'm not sure where.

Hello :) Check to make sure the hostname for the VPS is configured correctly from the VPS node level. It can sometimes revert to the hostname configured from the node during a restart. You should also try updating the hostname again via "WHM Home " Networking Setup " Change Hostname". Thank you. 0 -
The node is correct. Updating is again doesn't do anything. (To paraphrase quote Albert Einstein: "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results.") There has to be something somewhere else that controls this. 0 -
