SSL on on cpanel managed services
Hi, to everybody, I have just joined and have a problem which I am sure has been answered before.
I have a VPs server with a cpanel, the host name is server.domain.co.uk and I have an SSL on the apache side. My problem is I am trying to put a purchased SSL onto the service side ie WHM, mail, cpanel etc. I have tried a wildcard *.domain.co.uk and server.domain.co.uk but to no avail. I get a red navigation bar with certificate error that the name of the certificate does not match the site. I have gone to tweeks and redirected but this has not helped. Can somebody point me in the right direction.

Hello :) Please ensure you attempt to install the certificate via: "WHM Home " Service Configuration " Manage Service SSL Certificates" Make sure you use the same hostname that you purchased the certificate for. Thank you. 0 -
Hello, If you have followed all the instructions found here, then I recommend opening a support ticket using the link in my signature. 0 -
You could have an issue with your CA Bundle. Make sure that you install the CA Bundle in addition to the certificate. For some SSL vendors, they use a special CA bundle with their wildcard certificates. If you let cPanel just pull in a bundle it finds on the server or online, it could be causing you issues. Also, run your page through something like this: [url=http://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html]SSL Checker - SSL Certificate Verify Just specify the Port number you want to test. This can help pinpoint where in the process your SSL certificate is failing. 0
