[Case 72049] SFTP Backup Destination and SSH Banners
My SFTP server has a login banner and cPanel's backup seems to think it's an error message.
Example Error:
Error: Validation for transport "cpbackup1" failed: This computer system is for authorized users only. Individuals using this system without authority or in excess of their authority are subject to having all their activities on this system monitored and recorded or examined by any authorized person, including law enforcement, as system personnel deem appropriate. In the course of monitoring individuals improperly using the system or in the course of system maintenance, the activities of authorized users may also be monitored and recorded. Any material so recorded may be disclosed as appropriate. Anyone using this system consents to these terms.
You can see that the login banner shows up as the error message when it should not be the case. I tested the login separately using the SCP command on the same server and it let me transfer files without a hitch so the underlying setup is correct.
Can we get this defect identified and fixed?

Hello :) An internal case is open to address this issue. For reference, the case number is 72049. There is currently no exact time frame available for a resolution. The current workaround is to disable the SSH banner. You can monitor our change log for this case number to determine when a resolution has been pushed out: cPanel - Change Log Thank you. 0 -
