Full back ups and restoration.

Hi guys, I am trying to clarify a few things. In regards to full backups I have read this: A full backup will create an archive of all the files and configurations on your website. You can only use this to move your account to another server, or to keep a local copy of your files. You cannot restore full backups through your cPanel interface. Does this mean that parts of the full backup cannot be used to restore a certain "Part" of the factions that can be restored? those factions being Home directory's, E-mail forwarders, E-mail Filters and MySql Databases. If it cannot, is there a better way to backup as much as possible? Can the backups be configured to run on a regular schedule? One option that I can think of is setting a CronJob using the Linux shell, however if I could set up something using Cpanel Instead. It will just be one less thing to think about :).

  Cpanel full backup is everything associated with your account Backups can ran via cron for the server owner "root"

  Hello :) You can not automate the backup process without root access to the system. Generating a full backup through cPanel does include all data (e.g. email, databases, website files). However, you must have your hosting provider restore the archive for you if root access is not available. Thank you.
