clamd Failed on my VPS

I got mail that clamd failed every 2 - 4 minutes. [QUOTE]clamd failed @ Tue Feb 11 07:04:06 2014. A restart was attempted automagically.
[QUOTE] clamd is not running or is crashed.
I try to find solution but unsuccessfully, can anyone from this forum help me?

  Hello :) Do you notice any error messages when attempting to restart it manually? EX: /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/restartsrv_clamd

  Sorry to dig up an old thread, but hopefully I dont have to start a new one if this was resolved.. So was it ever resolved / the problem or cause discovered? The reason I ask is that I get a daily spam of mail from my server with this error.. 3-4 x clamd failed emails, followed by 1 x clamd recovered email, twice over.. If there's a simple fix I'd love to hear it :) I'm always updated to latest versions of everything..
