file permissions changes automatically to 444 when editing

Hi, i have configured my php to use suPHP and suExec, everything seems to work file exept that file permissions changes automatically to 444. Example: I install Joomla and everything is ok, i can edit files with ftp etc, but when i edit some file in Joomla (example change settings when it wrotes to configuration.php or edit files with Joomlas template editor) it changes to 444. User wont change, only permissions. I havent seen this before and im sure it is because i have somehow misconfigured php, but i have no clue what causes this.   Hello :) Check to make sure Joomla is not using a umask function to define the permissions of the files it creates. Try using an alternate PHP script to see if you experience the same behavior. Thank you.

  How can i test that? And how to correct it if it does? [COLOR="silver">- - - Updated - - - And those permissions also change with css and html files.. If it gives more information.
