Failed MySQL Upgrade From 5.0 to 5.1
I tried to upgrade mYSQL from 5.0 to 5.1 and got an error:
Problems were detected with cPanel-provided files which are RPM controlled.
[20140216.215108] [22188] [20140216.215107] If you did not make these changes intentionally, you can correct them by running:

[20140216.215108] [22188] [20140216.215107] The following RPMs are missing from your system:
[20140216.215108] [22188] [20140216.215107] MySQL51-client.5.1.70-1.cp1136
[20140216.215108] [22188] [20140216.215107] MySQL51-devel.5.1.70-1.cp1136

[20140216.215108] [22188] [20140216.215107] MySQL51-test.5.1.70-1.cp1136
So I went ahead and ran /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/check_cpanel_rpms --fix and it appeared to download everything for 5.1 but when I try and upgrade again it says the same thing that those RPM's are missing and the upgrade fails so not sure how to proceed. When I tried to update WHM I could see in it's pretest run that the 5.1 files were "already downloaded" but then it discovered MySQL was still 5.0 and failed.
So the system does not know that the files were downloaded when I ran /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/check_cpanel_rpms --fix
Any ideas on how to resolve this?
Thanks
Greg Chadwick

Check /var/cpanel/cpanel.config, and make sure mysql-version is set to "5.1". Not sure which cPanel version you're updating to but if it's 11.42, I believe you'll need to go to MySQL 5.5 first. 0 -
Hello :) Please post the output from the following commands: grep mysql-version /var/cpanel/cpanel.config mysql_config --version
