There is no problem with an account's primary domain not being registered. An account must have a domain name assigned to it, but there is no requirement that the domain needs to actually be registered or resolve to an IP address. We frequently create "dummy" domains on test machines for testing purposes.

Thanks a lot for your quick answer. OK, cPanel can handle an account with an unregistered "dummy" as primary domain. But in a production environment, with ONLY the real domain name(s), registered and having DNS entries, (created as "Addon Domain(s)" in cPanel), are there any known problems? - Will the access via
